Certified training for Helper Laboratory & Field Technician Level-1 (programme aligned to CON/Q 0401 released by Construction Skill Development Council)

The tasks a Helper Laboratory & Field Technician Level-1 is expected to perform include: Identifying, using and maintaining tools and equipment

Handling material, sampling and storing

Helping and providing support for carrying out field testing related to construction material

Helping and providing support for carrying out lab testing related to construction material

Performing tasks under health, safety and environmental regulations

Knowledge of storing, handling, upkeep, maintenance and safeguarding of tools and equipment

Knowledge and in-depth understanding of naming, identifying, setting acceptance and rejection criteria of tools and equipment

Ability to perform calibration of machine and equipment for validation

Understanding of how to read and enter values from gauges and meters

Knowledge of loading, unloading, handling and stacking hazardous/non-hazardous material as per their height, their physical properties, size and shape

Knowledge of the methods, rules, materials and equipment required for sampling, tolerance and limitations of field and lab testing Understanding of how to identify, select and use basic dressing material, first aid and PPEs

Sound knowledge of accident, health, safety and evacuation procedures and their reporting

Working hours

Working hours are a minimum of 8 hours a day for 5 to 6 days a week

For freshers -6,000 to8,000 per month

For candidates with 0 to 2 years experience -8,000 to12,000 per month

For candidates with over 2 years experience 12,000 to18,000 per month
