Carpenter Helper, Scaffolder Helper

Minimum - Preferably 5th standard pass with normal literacy of reading, writing and understanding

Certified training for Helper Carpenter Shuttering & Scaffolding Level-1 (programme aligned to CON/Q 0301 released by Construction Skill Development Council)

The tasks a Helper Carpenter - Shuttering & Scaffolding Level-1 is expected to perform include: Identifying and using basic tools, equipment, materials and components

Handling and storing materials

Sizing, cutting, drilling of plywood/timber and making joints

Erecting and dismantling different types of scaffoldings

Cutting, filling, levelling and compaction of earth

Performing tasks under health, safety and environmental regulations

Knowledge of selecting and identifying the right tools for the right job

Knowledge of receiving and handing over tools, material and consumables from the store

Knowledge of precaution and safety in handling, storing and transporting tools

Knowledge of stacking material and formworks

Knowledge of the properties of material pertaining to flash point and flow point

Knowledge the physical properties of wood, plywood, seasoning and storage of timber, bending splitting and treating timber

Working knowledge of tools, equipment, materials and process for erecting and dismantling different types of scaffoldings

Understanding of how to identify, select and use basic dressing material, first aid and PPEs

Sound knowledge of accident, health, safety and evacuation procedures and their reporting

Trained for 6 to 12 weeks to qualify test and assessments by authorised agency for Knowledge & Skill as per NOS for Level-1

Working hours

Working hours are a minimum of 8 hours a day for 5 to 6 days a week

For candidates with up to 2 years experience 8,000 to12,000 per month
