Minimum - Preferably5th standard pass with normal literacy of reading, writing and understanding

Certified training for Helper Bar Bender & Fixer Level-1 (programme aligned to CON/Q 0201 released by Construction Skill Development Council)

The tasks an Helper Bar Bender & Fixer Level-1 is expected to perform include: Identifying and using basic tools, equipment and materials

Handling and storing material

Tying rebar using different types of ties

Identifying, straightening, marking & cutting to required lengths and tying of rods

Bending and manually making of links, hooks and stirrups

Erecting and dismantling 3.6 metre temporary scaffold

Cutting, filling, levelling and compaction of earth

Performing work under the health, safety and environmental regulations

Knowledge of storing, handling techniques, upkeep, maintenance, checking and inspection of tools and materials

Understanding of permissible stacking heights, sizing, sorting, identification and workplace procedures and policies

Understanding of the site layout, obstacles, lower elevation electrical wires and cable positioning during shifting/lifting materials

Working knowledge of the various properties and types of binding wire, ties, length required, methods of tying rebar, etc.Expertise of specification and use of cutting and bending tools, detailing of rings, links and hooks

Working knowledge of types and dimensions of bars, stacking of bars, methods to straighten and bend bars, use and types of formers in a bar bending table, use of bar bending tools, etc.Knowledge of tools, cutting bars, basic calculations, line sketch dimension of rings, lines and hooks

Working knowledge of tools, equipment, materials and process involved in erecting and dismantling 3.6 metre temporary scaffolds

Understanding of how to identify, select and use basic dressing material, first aid and PPEs

Knowledge of accident reporting, health, safety and evacuation procedures

Working hours

Working hours are a minimum of 8 hours a day for 5 to 6 days a week

For freshers 6,000 to 8,000 per month

For candidates with up to 2 years experience 8,000 to 12,000 per month

For candidates with over 2 years experience 12,000 to 18,000 per month
