The tasks an Embroider, Machine is expected to perform include: Marking outlines of design on material before embroidery is started

Embroidering various designs on fabric or garments by machines

Selecting size and colour of thread and mounting bobbins of thread on machine

Threading needle and passing the yarn through carrier of machine

Adjusting machine for thread tension and type of stitch Guiding the material or sewing arm of machine in accordance with the drawing or outline or guide points of pantograph on enlarged design

Changing thread as required and replacing empty bobbins and broken needles

Operating machine which embroiders several articles or designs a time Cleaning and oiling the sewing machine

Knowledge of basic sewing techniques, including hand sewing and the manipulation of fabric through a sewing machine

Proficiency in handling embroidery machine

Knowledge of designs, threads and aesthetic usage of colours

Knowledge of the use, properties and care of different fabrics and materials regularly used in making costumes Proficiency in creating fresh designs

Well-versed with different types of stitches in embroidery

Working hours

Working hours are for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company Shift system maybe available

Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
