The tasks a Button Stitching Machine Operator is expected to perform include: Operating button stitching machine which stitches buttons to garments Mounting spool of required type of thread and wounding bobbin on machine Drawing thread through guides and eye of needle Starting machine which automatically stitches button Cleaning and oiling machine and attending to minor repairs

Knowledge of basic sewing techniques, procedures, sewing machine operations in power mode, etc.

Expertise in handling special button stitching machine

Knowledge of personal safety and protection procedures

Expertise in making or stitching various types of button for fabrics, garments, bags, etc.

Working hours

Working hours are for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company Shift system maybe available

Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
