Minimum MD or MBBS with specialization in chest diseases

Minimum experience of up to 4 years

The tasks an Allergy Specialist is expected to perform include:

Diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions with allergic or immunologic causes

Examining patient, utilizing medical instruments and equipment, patch tests and blood tests as diagnostic aids

Eliciting and recording information about patient's history

Analyzing reports and test results

Prescribing treatment or medication for conditions such as bronchial asthma, dermatological disorders, connective tissue syndromes, transplantation and autoimmunity

Referring patients to ancillary and consultant services when indicated

Knowledge of food allergy, medication allergy, chronic cold, bronchitis, sinus infections, asthma, etc.

Proficient in diagnosing, treating, managing and preventing immune system disorders such as autoimmune diseases and immunodeficiency diseases

Skilled in the use of medical equipment and instruments

Proficient in examining patients, conducting blood tests and patch tests

Efficient in studying and interpreting the medical history of patients

Ability to analyze test results and prescribe treatment and medication accordingly

Proficient in monitoring the conditions of patients and re-evaluating treatment procedures when necessary
