Jewellery CAD Designer

Preferably 12th standard pass

Training in computer operations is required

Certified training for Designer (CAD) (programme aligned to G&J/Q 2303 released by the Gem & Jewellery Skills Council of India)

Prior experience in the role is preferredFreshers will be provided with training

The task a Designer(CAD) is expected to perform include: Creating a range of basic jewellery design by hand, using CAD (Computer Aided Design) software

Produce a range of 3 dimensional (3D) jewellery designs that are practical for manufacturing

Provide detailed information regarding the dimensions, materials, manufacturing specifications, etc.

Understanding of the technical drawings of jewellery shapes

Knowledge of computers and software such as MS office, internet etc.

Knowledge of the different categories of jewellery e.g. rings, bracelets etc.

Knowledge of regional specialities of jewellery

Knowledge of the different types of diamonds and gemstones, colours, cuts, shapes

Knowledge of the different settings in jewellery

Understanding of design utility in terms of daily wear, occasional wear etc.

Ability to use drawing stationary and measuring tools such as pencil, eraser, scale, set squares, compass, different type of papers, tracing sheets, etc.

Ability to draw clear sketches, detailed drawings, illustrations, artwork, or blueprints, using drawing stationary

Ability to provide accurate information and data on the overall dimensions of diamonds and stones in terms of number, size and type

Ability to stay well informed and up to date on the latest software and design tools for jewellery

Knowledge of the manufacturing process of jewellery

Working hours
