Minimum ? Bachelor?s in Electrical Engineering

Minimum experience of up to 4 years in relevant area

The tasks a Designer, Electrical Engineering is expected to perform include:

Planning and designing various types of electrical plants and equipment

Preparing plans, diagrams and sketches of electrical plants and equipment for manufacture

Evaluating construction details, material specifications and production methods

Supervising production, testing and observing performance parameters

Designing alterations to effect improvements

Studying consumer?s needs and developing design for manufacture of new devices and products

Preparing detailed plant instructions

Maintaining manuals and diagrams illustrating operation details, circuits, connections, etc.

Conducting research on efficiency and performance of of existing machines and equipment

Inspecting assembly and installation of electrical equipment and machinery

Preparing designs and estimating cost of production

Ability to produce and interpret technical diagrams

Knowledge of installation and testing electrical systems

Familiar with standard codes for construction and electrical activity, prescribed by the government and otherwise

Knowledge of material requirement and cost estimation techniques

Knowledge of testing and maintaining equipment

Knowledge of national and international codes for designing electrical equipment

Familiar with short circuit diagrams

Knowledge of engineering design principles and applicable design guides

Master?s in Electrical Engineering
