Minimum ? Bachelor?s Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering

Certified training for Area Service Manager (programme aligned to ASC/Q 0603 released by Automotive Skills Development Council)

No prior experience is required for candidates with ASDC Area Service Manager certification orPostgraduate Degree/Diploma holders in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 5 years of experience is required for other qualifications

The tasks an Area Service Manager is expected to perform include:

Supervising and handling the overall service network of the assigned area

Managing customer relationships and quality service

Supervising and monitoring the service-related aspects of the channel partner

Monitoring the overall training needs of the Technicians

Planning and ensuring that service processes are followed

Understanding complete customer requirements and delivering accordingly

Resolving customer queries, issues and complaints in a timely manner

Supervising all activities performed by subordinates

Knowledge of technical expertise, workshop profitability, value-added service and promotion for services

Knowledge of improving the overall service level for the dealership network

Familiarity with the turnaround time, service and repair time as per OEM guidelines

Basic knowledge of the parameters to be considered to track and supervise the service provided by the dealer

Knowledge of assessing the training needs of a particular dealership

Basic knowledge of the measures and actions required to cut down cost and speed up the service process

Skilled in analyzing market requirements

Knowledge of preparing the letter of intent and deciding the terms and conditions as per the organization policy

Familiarity with techniques to improve and check the preparedness for customer- centric activities, new model service preparedness, etc.

Knowledge of the technical specifications of various OEM vehicles

Familiarity with the documentation requirements from customers with respect to warranty claims and other performance - related feedback

Knowledge of the software used to capture Customer Relationship Management (CRM) within the organization

Proficiency in MS Office and Management Information System

Knowledge of the technical resources needed for work, and how to obtain and use them

On-the-job training for ASDC Area Service Manager certificate holders

Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering

Working hours

Working is 9 hours every day for 6 days a week Overtime and shift system may be involved according to the company norms
