Minimum ? B. Tech/Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics
Compulsory training in quality management systems like TS16949, Lean Six Sigma; 7 QC Tools, APQP procedures, process capability measurement, layout inspection techniques, special characteristics and problem solving techniques
Certified training for Manager Customer Quality Level 6 (programme aligned to ASC/ Q6304 released by Automotive Skills Development Council)
ASDC Level 5 or minimum 6-8 years in a quality/manufacturing department
The tasks a Manager Customer Quality Level 6 is expected to perform include:
Co-ordinating with various departments for improving the quality standards of the final product
Validating the dimensions of the final product
Docking the audit of sample products from the final products
Monitoring field failure, warranty issues and customer rejections
Ensuring the pre-delivery inspection of the final product before dispatch
Co-ordinating with the respective process owners and ensuring the implementation of CAPA for any NCs identified in the PDI inspection
Reviewing and repeating the process till all NCs are closed
Ensuring proper documentation of everything
Co-ordinating with the process owners and deciding scrappage of the product, if its damaged
Ensuring proper disposal of scrapped products according to the HSE compliance
Ensuring the PPAP documents are updated for all new processes/products
Ensuring the PPAP document is submitted to the customer as required
Knowledge of manufacturing processes being followed for each product
Knowledge of inspection checkpoints for products/processes
Familiarity with the steps of process/product audits
Basic knowledge of tests performed for the product
Familiarity with processes for measuring maintenance parameters
Knowledge of the docking audit checklist
Basic knowledge of PDI inspection report contents
Knowledge of the layout inspection methodology for dimensional validation
Knowledge of quality control tools like MSA, SPC, Pareto Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, etc.
Basic knowledge of APQP procedures/PFMEA/CP
Familiarity with data analysis tools like 8Ds, five why analysis, etc.
Knowledge of the requirements for PPAP documents
Basic knowledge of requirements of the TS-16949/QMS system followed
Familiarity with information systems like SAP, ERP, etc.
Knowledge of 5S principles
Training in information flow systems/ERP like SAP, etc.
