The tasks a Sausage Maker is expected to perform include:

Preparing the ingredients for sausages as per the demand

Operating the sausage making machine

Weighing the various meats, spices and other ingredients according to the formula

Dumping the prepared formula into the mixing machine as per the measuring specifications

Chopping minces and mixing all the ingredients by machine as per the requirements

Feeding the sausage meat into the machine in the proper quantity

Gathering the sausage casing over the machine spout

Starting the machine to force the meat into the sausage casing

Pinching and tying the end of the filled casing

Emptying the mixed ingredients into containers without any wastage

Grinding the meat and filling the casings with bulk sausage

Knowledge of all the ingredients used for making sausages

Skilled in gathering the sausage casing over the machine spout

Knowledge of the sausage making machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance

Familiar with the various tastes and flavours available in sausages

In particular the food processing industry in India has been recognized as a high-priority area. This is because the food processing industry is one of the largest industries in India and is ranked fifth in terms of production, consumption, export and expected growth.

The latest figures have revealed that the total food production in India is likely to double in the next 10 years as the country?s domestic food market is estimated to reach US$ 258 billion by 2015.

Considering all the world data, the Indian food and grocery market is the world?s sixth largest with its retail contributing 70 per cent of the sales. It is projected to grow at a rate of 104 per cent, touching US$ 482 billion by 2020. This indicates a vast scope for both investors and exporters.

Given all these figures it is safe to say that the demand for a Sausage Maker is there in the present and will surely increase in the coming years.
