Minimum experience of 2?8 years in a relevant field

The tasks a Coil Winder, Machine is expected to perform include:

Operating the coil winding machine to make coils of the required shape and size

Fitting the metal or wooden core of the required shape and size on to the revolving mechanism of the machine

Placing the roll of wire of the required gauge at the correct height on the machine stand

Drawing the free end of the wire over the core through the guides in the machine and sticking it at its edge

Adjusting the meter fitted to the machine so as to record the specified number of turns of the core

Ensuring that the required number of turns of wire over the core are achieved

Cutting the wire and bending its free end slightly to keep the coil in position

Removing the coil from the machine

Wrapping the insulation cloth and tape over the coil

Maintaining the account of the output and wire used

Winding the coils manually and testing them for continuity

Cleaning and oiling the coil of the winding machine

Knowledge of the different coils that are used in electric motors, dynamos, transformers, radios and other electrical equipment

Ability to take the reading from the meter fitted on to the machine

Ability to maintain records

Knowledge of the proper shape and size of the coils that are required to be made

Skilled in winding the coils manually and testing them for continuity

Physically fit
