Indian PCB Industry

India?s PCB market has registered a 27 per cent growth, and its revenue is expected to touch Rs 9000 billion by 2016, which is considered much higher than most countries. An Indian Printed Circuit Association (IPCA) report states that many PCB units in India have grown in volume terms and, correspondingly, in turnover.

PCB players feel that India has to leapfrog and go generations ahead in terms of technology.

According to a report by the Indian Printed Circuit Association (IPCA), the demand for PCBs in India has increased at a CAGR of 35 per cent year on year. The local PCB industry not only serves the domestics market but about 24 per cent of what is manufactured annually is exported.2 These high growth estimates indicate a rise in demand for professionals such as In-Circuit Testing Machine Operators in the years to come.
