Minimum experience of 0 - 1 year as a Metal Bluer

The tasks a Metal Bluer is expected to perform include:

Imparting blue finish to metal object to make them resistant and to improve their appearance

Packing metal objects in bone or chemical and placing them in furnace

Regulating heat to bring furnace to desired temperature and ascertaining it by means of pyrometer or otherwise

Removing metal objects from furnace when they have attained required heat and placing them in vats of prepared chemical solution

Removing metal objects from chemical bath when bluing is completed and washing them in oil

Knowledge of safety standards of equipment being used

Basic knowledge of scientific techniques to protect metal

Skilled in using furnaces correctly

Basic knowledge of operating a pyrometer

Working hours
