Minimum ? ITI Diploma

Minimum experience of 2 to 7 years in relevant field

The tasks a Marker, Metal is expected to perform include:

Marking metal according to drawing or sample for filing, machining, grinding, drilling, forming, erecting, etc.

Studying drawings, sketches, samples, etc. to determine nature of work

Selecting metal such as sheet, blocks, angles, rods, etc. according to requirement and specification

Applying chalk or copper sulphate solution on finished surface

Calculating and marking outline with centre punch marks on finished surface of metal, indicating lines, curves or points as per dimensions

Checking markings by calculating dimensions to ensure accuracy of size, distances, etc. using scales, divider, square and other tools

Using template for making standard sizes of metal products

Marking metal components with drawing numbers for final assembly and erection

Skilled in processes such as filing, machining, grinding, drilling, forming, erecting, etc.Knowledge of drawings, sketches, samples, etc.Ability to work with metal sheet, blocks, angles, rods, etc.Proficient in reading and interpreting instructions and specifications

Skilled in the use of surface plate, angle plates, vernier height gauge, divider, marking block and other devices

Aware of health and safety guidelines at the work floor

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Training in metal forging technology

Good communication skills

Attention to detail

Physically fit

Creative thinker

Manual dexterity

It is not a desk job

Working hours
