Minimum experience of up to 1 year as a machine feeder and offbearer

The tasks a Machine Feeder and Offbeareris expected to perform include:

Feeding materials into machines or equipment that are automatic or tended by other workers

Removing materials and products from machines and equipment using hand tools

Cleaning and maintaining machinery, equipment and work areas

Controlling and adjusting the start and stop of machinery and equipment

Modifying materials and products during manufacturing process to meet requirements

Recording production and operational information and data on specified forms

Identifying and marking materials, products and samples

Inspecting materials and products for defects and ensuring conformance to specifications

Fastening packages or stacking materials and products

Skilled in using hand tools

Basic knowledge of off bearing materials and products

Efficient in inspecting materials and products for any defects or deformities

Basic knowledge of opening and closing of belt and pneumatic conveyors

Knowledge of weighing and measuring techniques to ensure conformance to specifications
