Moulding Machine Operator

Minimum ? 12th pass/ITI

Minimum experience of 2 years in related field

The tasks a Moulder, General is expected to perform include:Preparing mould from foundry sand by using pattern for casting metal parts

Placing pattern on mould plate

Making mould in two halves by ramming foundry sand around pattern

Removing pattern carefully and mending two halves of mould by trowel

Making vent holes by wire for ensuring escape of gas and other holes on top box for pouring metal into mould

Fixing dried cores in proper position to get designed holes in casting

Knowledge of different parameters and types of moulding process and associated equipment

Familiar with the impact of different parameters on the process output

Familiar with different types of tools and machinery used in moulding process

Skilled in using different types of tools and machinery to trim/finish the output

Skilled in geometry and dimension measurement of the product output

Knowledge of how to read panels, indicators, etc. to monitor the process

Familiar with moulding defects and the ways to prevent them
