Manpower Officer

Minimum MBA in Human Resource

Minimum experience of 6 to 9 years in the relevant field

The tasks a Manpower Officer is expected to perform include:

Assisting in manpower supply and other requirements

Preparing schemes for meeting shortages

Conducting enquiry into employment market trends and other manpower problems

Preparing plans for efficient utilization of human resources and achievement of major objectives

Planning, organizing and conducting surveys for collection of data

Gathering data related to manpower availability and utilization in different spheres of economic activity

Analyzing the data from all available sources like census reports and special studies for preparation of reports on selected aspects of manpower problems

Identifying the various fields to which flow of manpower is not adequate and taking appropriate steps to accelerate the flow

Studying the problem of manpower training, labour mobility, labour force participation, relationship of educational and training programmes to demand for special skills and labour utilization in different fields of economic activity

Specializing in any field of study like problems relating to availability and utilization of scientific manpower, managerial personnel, technical and low-skilled personnel or white-collar workers

Examining the recruitment and employment matters, service conditions, etc.

Advising on formulation of manpower policies

Skilled in managing manpower supply and requirements

Proficient in preparing schemes for meeting shortages

Skilled in conducting enquiry into employment market trends

Skilled in making plans that ensure efficient utilization of human resources

Proficient in planning, organizing and conducting surveys for collection of data

Skilled in gathering data related to employment in different spheres of economic activity

Proficient in studying the data available from census reports and special studies

Skilled in preparation of reports on selected aspects of manpower problems

Skilled in using MS Office Applications (Excel, Power Point, Word)

Knowledge of systems such as ISO, OSHAS and TPM environment
