The tasks a Helper Upper Making (Footwear) is expected to perform include:

Providing assistance to the footwear machine operators

Carrying out folding, adhesive adding and edge colourings

Assisting the operators to carry out activities based on the production schedule

Well-versed with the characteristics and properties of various kinds of leather

Proficient in the designing process and related equipment

Proficient in cutting process and related equipment

Well-versed with different techniques used in edge colourings, and kind of paints and brushes used

Equipped to follow manufacturer?s instructions

Knowledge of styles/design of the products currently being produced

Knowledge of different techniques used in stamping and embossing

Will be updated

Eye for detail

Accuracy in work

Dexterity of hands

Hand-eye co-ordination
