The tasks a Tablet Machine Operator is expected to perform include:

Setting, feeding and operating the tablet coating machine

Operating the machine to compress powders into tablet of prescribed size, shape and weight

Setting up the machine

Regulating the pressure by adjusting lever according to the depth of the tablet to be made

Selecting, fixing and adjusting die and punch of specified size and shape

Feeding and regulating flow of prescribed quantity of material into hopper of the machine

Starting machine and setting die in motion for compressing powdered material into tablets

Regulating valves to control the flow of tablets through funnel

Placing empty container at the delivery end of the machine to receive pressed tablets

Testing and checking, at periodical intervals, weight of the pressed tablets by weighing in balance

Ability to set up machinery as per specification

Knowledge of tablet making operation

Proficiency in maintaining records of output in own section and submitting reports to superiors

Well-versed with collecting material and other equipment

Adept at checking end-product with defined quantity and quality specifications

Proficiency in safety techniques and cleanliness to be followed

Ability to deliver finished and pressed tablets at store for packing

Knowledge of cleaning and maintaining machine

Efficiency in operating tablet coating machine

Chemicals & petrochemical companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours every day. This may vary from company to company

For freshers INR 7,000 to INR 9,000 per month

For candidates with 2 to 5 years experience and above INR 10,000 to INR 15,000 per month

Indian chemical industry generates around 70,000 commercial goods ranging from plastic to toiletries and pesticides to beauty products.
