The tasks an Enameller, Chemical is expected to perform include:

Applying thin film of enamel on metal components by dipping in enameling solution and drying them in ovens

Checking the quantity and quality of enamel in glazed porcelain bath (vat)

Dipping the components in bath and suspending them in mechanical conveyor passing through closed drying oven

Checking components after drying and repeating process to ensure good finish

Adept at using viscometers to determine paint flow, viscosity and coating quality

Ability to use levers and buttons to start and stop operation of machines

In-depth knowledge of setting up and operating machines to paint or coat products

Equipped to use cleaning aids and other solvents while cleaning machines, related equipment and work areas

Experience in using automated paint mixing equipment to prepare coating by mixing substances according to formulas

Ability to dip and dry components manually

Knowledge of manually applying solution of film forming substances or Black Japan Varnish

Knowledge of applying enamel or other solution by brush or spray

Ability to follow instructions

Overview of the Chemical & Petrochemical Sector in India

Global chemical market size was estimated at USD 3.9 trillion in 2013 and is expected to grow at 3-4% per annum over the next 5 years to reach USD 4.7 trillion by 2018. India currently accounts for approximately 3% of the world chemical market. The Indian chemical and petrochemical industry expanded in 2013 despite weakness in key export markets and subdued growth in the domestic market. The Indian chemical and petrochemical industry currently stands at USD 118 billion and is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8% for the next five years.

Bulk chemicals form the largest sub-segment of Indian chemical industry with 40% market share whereas the specialty chemical with 19% market share is the fastest growing segment. Together, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh account for more than 50% of Gross Value Add (GVA) and Gross Output of the chemical and petrochemical industry in India.

The current per capita consumption of products of chemical industry in India is about 1/10th of the world average.
