Freshers or up to 2 years of work experience as glass object painter in construction industry

The tasks a Painter, Glass is expected to perform include:

Drawing decorative designs on window glass and other glass articles using paints and painting brushes

Ensuring that the glass object gets desired pattern, shade, colour and finishing

Proficient in studying design or ornamental features

Adept at drawing free hand out lines with chalk, pencil or with special brush on glass planes or other glass wares to be painted

Well-versed with selecting different colours paints to match design or pattern

Proficient in painting details and shading on coloured glasspreviouslywaxedupaccording to originalpatterntocompletedesignofwindowsusedinchurches,memorialsandresidences

Knowledge of art, portraiture and effect of light and shade on glass

Adept at cleaning brushes in oil or solvent after painting

Proficient in staining back of painted glass pieces with silver chloride to get gold effect

Adept at examining finished surfaces of work pieces to verify conformance to specifications; and retouching any defective areas

Well-versed with estimating cost of work

Knowledge of inspecting work pieces to determine work procedures and materials required

Knowledge of painting walls, roof, etc. of buildings

For freshers INR 15,000 to INR 20,000 per month

For candidates with 1/2 years of experience - INR 20,000 to INR 25,000 per month

Thus with rising urbanization, increase in demand for residential and commercial real estate and rising infrastructure expenditure by government, the market value of construction sector in India is projected to expand up to INR 11954 billion by 2017. It is estimated that sector will employ more than 76 million employees by 2022 an additional creation of 31 million jobs by 2022 out of which 5.44 million jobs will be for profile like painter, glass and other building completion and finishing segments worker.This indicates good job prospects for Painter, Glass and other professionals.
