Minimum 5th Certified training for Plumber (General) Assistant (programme aligned to PSC/Q 00 released by Indian Plumbing Skills Council)

Minimum 1 year relevant work experience in lieu of minimum educational qualification

The tasks a Plumber (General) Assistant is expected to perform include: Assisting in the preliminary installation of plumbing systems

Assisting in the repair work of basic plumbing systems

Providing assistance in assembling various fittings

Providing assistance in performing various pre-installation procedures

Following safety and health regulations

Knowledge of basic sanitary fittings and fixtures

Basic knowledge of procedural techniques like bending, cutting, etc. Basic knowledge of various tools and equipment

Knowledge of proper material disposal procedures

Understanding of the basic units of measurement

Basic understanding of the installation procedure

Previous on-the-job training

Knowledge of Hindi or a regional language

Good communication skills

Team spirit

Decision-making skills

Organizational skills

It is a field job

No need to lead a team

Local travelling is necessary

Working hours
