The tasks a Sales Supervisor, Wholesale Trade is expected to perform include:Supervising wholesale business of any commodity in a particular area/zone

Directing representatives or area salesmen to contact prospective retail businessmen

Advising stockists and distributors to supply goods as required

Maintaining registers of sales completed

Undertaking advertisement, publicity drives and other promotional activities

Informing head office of market trends and of defects or complaints pertaining to the products

Suggesting improvements in the products to avoid adverse effects on business

Undertaking appraisal of juniors and subordinates and reporting the same to the head office

Knowledge of the product range offered

Proficient in addressing customer queries

Basic knowledge of all promotional schemes offered by the dealers

Familiar with the documents required from the customer to complete the sale

Knowledge of financial and insurance services available to the customer

Efficient in creating regular reports on sales performance

Skilled in managing and analyzing customer database collected from various sources

Knowledge of software such as MS Word, Excel, etc.
