Ice Setter

The tasks an Ice Maker is expected to perform include:

Refrigerating the equipment that freezes water into ice

Performing a combination of tasks that help in freezing

Opening the valves to fill containers with specified amounts of water

Lowering the containers into freezing tanks by making use of a hoist

Inserting the air bubbler into containers

Starting the agitator in the freezing tank to ensure uniform freezing

Pumping the water containing foreign matter by using a suction pump and refilling the container with fresh water

Flushing the surfaces of ice blocks with a hose

Removing the container from the tank using a hoist and immersing it in warm water

Positioning the cans on the dumping pivot

Pushing the buttons to tilt the pivot and dumping ice onto the conveyor or platform

Adding the prescribed amount of materials into the mixing vats

Starting the agitator to mix the brine solution for the freezing tanks

Turning the valves to regulate the compressors and condensers

Skilled in working with the temperature control equipment

Familiar with the entire process of making ice from water

Skilled in handling the brine solution for the freezing tanks

Proficient in using the valves to regulate the compressors and condensers

The Food Industry in India

The Indian Brand Equity Foundation in their report on the food industry of India have referred to this industry as the highest profit incurring sector considering the scope it has to offer for value addition. In particular the food processing industry getting in India has been recognized as a high-priority area. This is because the food processing industry is one of the largest industries in India and is ranked fifth in terms of production, consumption, export and expected growth.

The latest figures have revealed that the total food production in India is likely to double in the next 10 years as the country?s domestic food market is estimated to reach US$ 258 billion by 2015.

Considering all the world data the Indian food and grocery market is the world?s sixth largest with its retail contributing 70 per cent of the sales. It is projected to grow at the rate of 104 per cent, touching US$ 482 billion by 2020. This indicates a vast scope for both investors and exporters.

With all these figures in considerations it is safe to say that the demand for an Ice Maker is there in the present and will surely increase in the coming years.
