Minimum experience of 6 months in a relevant field

The tasks a Laboratory Assistant, Engineering is expected to perform include:

Assisting in fitting and setting the model engine, machines, theodolite, meters and other equipment that are required for conducting experiments in the engineering laboratory

Setting up the required apparatus and instruments either inside the laboratory or in

the open as necessary

Making the necessary connections with pumps, gauges, vacuum pipes, electrical lines, etc. as required

Conducting routine experiments to explain or establish theoretical principles

Observing performance by determining the horse power

Adjusting the focal length, speed, effect of magnetism, pressure, vacuum, etc. as required according to the various experiments

Maintaining records of observations for calculation and reference purposes

Assisting the Engineers in conducting a study or research on engineering problems

Cleaning the lenses and instruments

Oiling and greasing the machinery to maintain their good condition

Performing minor repairs to equipment and apparatus

Maintaining the inventory of apparatus and equipment and replacing the defective ones

Skilled in handling tools and equipment in a laboratory

Proficient in handling all the experiments in the engineering laboratory

Ability to set-up the required apparatus in the correct position

Skilled in making connections with pumps, gauges, vacuum pipes, electrical lines, etc.

Skilled in carrying out routine experiments to explain theoretical principles

Ability to adjust the focal length, speed, effect of magnetism, pressure, vacuum, etc.

Skilled in handling all the apparatus and maintaining them in the proper order
