Minimum ? B.E./B. Tech in Industrial/Production/ Mechanical Engineering

Certified training for Manager Maintenance Mechanical and Electrical Level 5 (programme aligned to ASC/Q6801 released by Automotive Skills Development Council)

Minimum 10-12 years experience in maintenance/manufacturing

The tasks a Manager Maintenance Mechanical and Electrical Level 5 is expected to perform include:

Overseeing the maintenance of equipment and machinery

Organizing repairs in case of any breakdown

Diagnosing breakdown problems

Carrying out quality inspections on jobs

Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components

Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs

Planning for contingencies against major breakdowns

Strategizing to plan improvements in key performance parameters like mean time between breakdowns, cost of maintenance, etc.

Documenting breakdown in equipment history sheets

Planning manpower according to the schedules

Knowledge of the processes in consideration

Basic knowledge of dimensions and types of existing facilities being used for the processes

Familiarity with the engineering drawings of the existing layout

Working knowledge of the machinery and equipment being used for the processes

Skilled in manpower deployment plan for processes

Familiarity with material and information flow of the processes

Basic knowledge of capacity utilization levels and the cost of manufacturing being incurred

Knowledge of media information flow like SAP, ERP, etc.

Knowledge of 5S procedures

Physically fit

Training in TPM

Predictive maintenance techniques

Automation, robotics

Safety-oriented

Good communication skills
