The tasks a Supervisor R&D Testing is expected to perform include: Managing indoor testing and validation activities of R&D department

Performing testing and validation of prototypes in a laboratory Collecting all data pertaining to failures and identifying patterns of frequent material failures

Monitoring R&D lab testing activities Ensuring resource procurement for testing and validation

Monitoring the R&D test lab equipment

Conducting internal QMS audit

Knowledge of the manufacturing process for each product

Skilled in testing and validation procedures for R&D activities

Basic knowledge of stress analysis techniques application

Familiar with simulation software used for validation

Knowledge of data analysis tools like 8Ds, five why analysis, etc.

Basic knowledge of documentation requirement for testing and validation

Familiar with documentation requirement for TS-16949/QMS system followed

Working knowledge of testing equipment

Basic knowledge of testing facilities for validation of different prototypes

Familiar with prototype manufacturing techniques

Knowledge of requirement for internal auditor certification

Familiar with guidelines for the QMS system followed for R&D laboratory testing

Basic knowledge of internal auditor training methodology

Knowledge of QMS/ISO-IEC17025 system guidelines and requirements

Knowledge of 5S procedures

Training in information flow systems/ERP like SAP

Good communication and co-ordination skills
