Minimum 0-2 years of work experience/internship in System Language translations

The tasks a Language Translator is expected to perform include:Translating software into different languages as per the convenience of the end-users

Understanding the software languages and platforms

Well-versed with the different sources of information required to design customized software products/applications

Proficient in designing softwareproducts/applications

Well-versed with the range of activities involved in designing different software products/applications

Knowledge of the different equipment used to design software products/applications

Adept in determining whethercomponentsaresuitableforre-use

Well-versed in developing and executing Unit Test Case (UTCs)

Knowledge of the different types of problems and defects that may occur and how these may be resolved

Proficient with software development lifecycle

Adept in using different software for languages, translation and tools

Well-versed in testing and determining whether new products and applications are fit for the given purpose

Knowledge of the current practice in relation to the customization of software products/applications

Certifications in language(s)/product documentations and internationalization and localization approaches in software products

Ability to work independently

Ability to work in a desk-based job

Future Trends for IT-ITES Sector in India

The IT-ITeS industry has been fuelling India?s growth story. In addition to contributing to the country?s Gross domestic Product (GDP) and exports, the industry has played a big role in influencing the socio-economic parameters across the country. Over the same period, the addressable market for Indian software product businesses is estimated to reach USD 290 to 315 billion. The next decade will play a crucial role in bringing about disruptive growth for the Indian Software Products segment, and the annual revenue aggregate of this segment is forecast to grow from USD 1.4 billion in FY 2008 to USD 9.5 to 12 billion by FY 2015. Over the past 3 years, the annual revenue aggregate of Indian software product businesses has grown at a CAGR of 44%.
