Growth and Potential of Indian Fertilizer Industry

According to a report by The Economic Times, balanced fertilization is important for overall growth of agriculture economy. Central and state governments, agriculture universities and research institutes promoted balanced use of P and K nutrients through extensive extension work.

Chemical Engineers get some of the best opportunities with fertilizer companies in India. Other than that they can work in Government departments like water treatment, waste management, etc. They can also work in the various industries using chemical engineering methods to obtain the products. Other than production chemical engineers can also work in research departments. Since the availability of natural products is decreasing the need for chemically synthesised products has increased which has resulted in rapid research in this field. Chemical Engineering is quite a well paid profession. Remunerations offered are good and depend highly on the kind of industry one is working in and the nature of work.
