The tasks a Checker is expected to perform include:

Verifying quantity, quality, condition, value and type of material, product, purchased, sold or produced against records, reports or specifications

Examining articles for defects in making or flows in material and returning defective work for correction or as rejects

Checking packages, bottles, etc., for proper markings and labels according to instructions

Checking and examining incoming and outgoing goods and materials against lists and delivering notes for quality, quantity or number

Reporting or recording defects or deficiencies

Knowledge of specifications and standards for products

Skilled in inspecting the different products

Knowledge of all the requisite markings on the packaging

Skilled in keeping records
