The tasks a Cushion Maker is expected to perform include: Making cushion covers and stuffing them Cutting upholstery cloth according to size of cushion and sewing pieces together

Stuffing material into cushion and beating cushion with hand or stick to make packing even

Sewing open end of cover and stitching piping along edges to preserve shape of cushion

Repairing and rebuilding cushions

Knowledge about fabrics and stitches

Ability to handle about textile, colours and dyes

Well-versed in embroidery, prints and design

Ability to sew ends of cushion covers after filling

Proficient in operating sewing machine to join cut fabric parts

Working hours

Working hours are for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company Shift system maybe available
