The tasks a Concrete Moulder is expected to perform include:

Moulding and finishing cement concrete blocks of various sizes and shapes

Examining drawings and other specifications

Preparing approximate estimates of material required

Selecting wooden mould of required size and pattern

Mixing cement, sand, lime etc.

Preparing cement concrete mortar by adding requisite quantity of water to them

Placing and fixing required number of sized iron rods into mould

Pouring cement concrete mortar into it

Ramming concrete with iron rods to make it compact

Levelling surface of mould by filling with concrete

Smoothening it with trowel and wooden smoothers

Allowing concrete to settle for specified period in mould for hardening

Removing shuttering, soaking it in water for curing and getting it dried in shades

Competent in mixing materials

Efficient in assembling mould parts

Proficient in filling moulds

Knowledge of stacking moulds to mould and cast a wide range of products

Ability to cut artistic designs on cast material before it gets hard

Good hand-eye co-ordination

Ability to follow instructions

Attention to detail

Time management skills

Team player

Physically fit

It is a not desk job

For candidates with up to 2 years of experience INR12,000 to INR16,500 per month

For candidates with 2 to 5 years of experience INR16,500 to INR20,500 per month

For candidates with over 5 years of experience INR20,500 to INR23,000 per month
