Minimum 5th Certified training for Plumber Mason (programme aligned to PSC/Q 006 released by Indian Plumbing Skills Council)

Minimum 2 years of work experience as a semi-skilled helper in lieu of minimum educational qualification

The tasks a Plumbing Mason is expected to perform include: Laying down masonry manholes and pipes

Performing drainage and sewerage-related masonry work

Following safety and health regulations

Detailed knowledge of various relevant materials and fixtures

Detailed knowledge of various techniques and procedures related with brick laying and concrete bed laying

In-depth knowledge of encasing of pipes with concrete and gully traps

Understanding of the flow of water and wastewater

Understanding of basic plumbing and masonry terminology

Working knowledge of tools and equipment

Basic knowledge of mathematical calculations

Knowledge of the units of measurement

Basic knowledge of the proper material disposal procedure

Knowledge of how to perform basic checks and tests of the system

Previous on-the-job training

Knowledge of Hindi or any regional language

Good communication skills
