The tasks an Instrumental Musician, Wind Instrument is expected to perform include:

Playing musical wind instruments of Indian or Western origin by blowing with mouth and usingfingers to produce desired effect

Ability to produce melodious tune by using the wind instrument

Basic knowledge of playing wind instrument individually or in accompaniment of other Musicians

Overview of Media & Entertainment Sector in India

The current employment across Media & Entertainment sector is estimated to be over 1 million persons (in terms of direct employment only). The Private Final Consumption Expenditure (PFCE) on Entertainment17 has grown at a Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 12.5% between 2000 and 2008. It is expected that the PFCE on Entertainment would grow at a CAGR of 13% to 14% between 2008 and 2022. Accordingly, it is expected that the industry would continue to record growth rates between 13% and 14% till 2013.

Keeping in mind the current employment, and the expected growth in different segments in the industry, we project that the total employment in the Media and Entertainment industry would increase from about 1 to 1.1 million persons in 2008 to about 4 to 4.1 million persons in 2022, an incremental human resource requirement of about 3 million persons.
