The tasks an University and College Teacher, Education is expected to perform include:

Teaching sponsored teachers and university students on one or more subjects in education such as methods of teaching, educational psychology, etc.

Arranging for teaching practice classes

Accompanying students to supervise and guide them

Conducting seminars and holding tutorial classes

Conducting research and guide research workers

Ability to handle a class of students with vigour

Ability to motivate and guide the students throughout the course

Skilled in preparing and then assessing examinations

Knowledge of the level of examination to be prepared, keeping in mind all kinds of students in a class

Ability to remain updated with latest terminologies, methodologies and concepts of teaching

Basic knowledge of child/people pshycology
