The tasks a Microwave Engineer Telecommunication is expected to perform include:Designing, installing, maintaining and operating special telecommunication equipment Working on microwaves such as radar, navigational aids, etc. to maintain communication between specified points Preparing layout and supervising installation of microwave project taking into account site, accessibility, availability of power, etc. Checking functional operations of equipment and putting it into action to establish communication between specified points Keeping regular watch and recording all readings registered by instruments Detecting any faults, ascertaining reasons of break downs, and setting them right either by adjusting or by getting defective components replaced Supervising regular maintenance of equipment according to schedule, including maintenance of wave guides, distribution lines, aerials etc. Keeping units in working order, and ensuring proper reception and transmission of messages

Undertaking research in problems connected with tele - communication engineering and carrying out administrative duties

Working knowledge of telecommunication equipment and microwaves Understanding of layout and installation of microwave project Expertise in checking functional operations of equipment and putting it into action Basic knowledge of recording all readings registered by instruments Knowledge of faults, reasons of break downs, etc. and the corrective action required

Knowledge of maintenance of equipment, wave guides, distribution lines, aerials, etc. Knowledge of undertaking research in problems connected with tele - communication engineering
