The tasks a Biologist, General is expected to perform include:

Studying plants and animals either in their natural habitat or in laboratory setting

Conducting research on various aspects of plant and animal life such as their origin, development, physiology, heredity, environments, reproduction, etc.

Dissecting and studying specimens using microscope, chemicals, photographic methods, etc.

Identifying, classifying and preserving specimens for research and study purposes

Making statistical analysis of experimental data and preparing reports on findings.

Raising experimental plants or animals, applying results of studies to evolutionary aspects of human life, etc.

Specializing in particular research aspect of evolution and animal or plant life

Well-versed with conducting research on various aspects of plant and animal life

Proficient in undertaking field study of plants or animals in their natural habitat or collecting specimens for study in laboratory

Ability to dissect and study specimens using microscope, chemicals, photographic methods and other scientific aids

Proficient in identifying, classifying and preserving specimens for research and study purposes

Proficient in statistical analysis of experimental data and preparing reports on findings

Ability to raise experimental plants and animals

Ability to apply results of studies to evolution aspects of human life

Ability to teach students in schools and colleges

Keen observation skills
