This field deals with the science and techiques of preparing and dispensing drugs, development of new new treatments and studying drug actions. Students with a strong interest in chemistry and biology can take this up as an alternate option to medicine.

As with all medical programs, pharmacy degrees differ from country to country. Some institutions offer a Bachelor of Pharmacy(B.Pharma.) while others offer only a Master of Pharmacy(Mpharm). Also note that some countries may not recognize a qualification from another region. Licensing exams and procedures may also differ for each country.
